Justin Labonte Begins 2008 Dirt Super Late Model Season
Justin showed his versatility as a racer in 2007 by competing in several racing divisions. Driving the #00 Aaron’s Lucky Dog Toyota Tundra for Michael Waltrip Racing, Justin finished 27th at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis on June 28, 2007 and 12th at the Martinsville Speedway in Virginia on October 18, 2007.
He also competed in the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, North Carolina posting his first win of the season at his home track and finished an impressive 8th position in his first race with the NASCAR Grand National Division at Thunder Hill Raceway in Kyle, Texas on April, 3, 2007.
On September 6th of 2007, Justin and Terry made history by racing against each other in the Peterbuilt 250 at New Brunswick International Speedway in Canada. Justin managed a fifth place finish while Terry suffered mechanical failure and was unable to complete the event.
In 2008, Justin will be competing in his Labonte Racing powered Dirt Super Late Model # 44 Chevrolet at tracks such as Dublin Motor Speedway, www.dublinspeedway.com, where he finished 8th out of 16 cars in the season opener on March 14th.
With Justin’s grandfather Bob Labonte as crew chief, the #44 Dirt Super Late model headed to Fayetteville Motor Speedway, www.Fayettevillemotorspeedway.net finishing 4th in his heat race and went on to post a 17th place finish in the feature event.
Next Saturday night March 29th Justin plans to take his Dirt Super Late Model # 44 to 3ll Speedway in Virginia. www.thenew311speedway.com
